Alarm Monitoring Systems – Keep Your Home Safe And Secure

Alarm Monitoring Systems – Keep Your Home Safe And Secure

In present days, Home Security is becoming a major issue. Over the years, more and more people have been involved in burglaries or theft. This is mainly due to the overwhelming situation of unemployment and poverty, where people are being forced into such activities either due to their will, or just to support their lives. Whatever the reason may be, it is creating huge problems for common people like us. There have been incidents where people got back home from their work just to find that it was broken into, and all valuables are stolen. To avoid situations like this, we need home alarm monitoring systems.

There can be different options for making your home secure, ranging from moderately cheap to expensive systems, most of which cannot be employed by middle class families. Some of the inexpensive ways of alarm system are –

1.    If you are mostly away from home due to work, you can ask a trusted neighbour to keep an eye out for break-ins. If you trust them enough, you can give them a duplicate key to your home so that they can check from time to time if everything is alright. This can be the most cost effective way.

2.    Another cheap option is to go for home security personnel. You don’t need to arrange for a whole unit patrolling outside your house as it will most obviously look ridiculous, and might attract the burglars even more, but just one armed person in your back yard will provide enough security that you might need.

3.    Small sensors and audio alarms can also be a considerably cheap alternative. You can place these sensors at odd places like in bushes, your back yard, or where burglars will need to pass through to break in. This will trigger the alarm and you can be alerted.

If you are looking for a much more extensive coverage, and better security solutions, you will have to go for wired or wireless systems.

1.    Hardwired systems are really efficient, but also difficult to install in an existing home. And you can also assume that it will be expensive enough. But you will be able to dispense CCTV or monitoring cameras at different places around your house, so that it covers all the dark regions. You will also have to hire someone, who will be monitoring the consoles attached to these cameras.

2.    Wireless systems are cheaper them wired ones. They include heat sensors, door and window sensors etc. It can be as easy to trigger on as pushing a button on its remote control, and your home is safe while you are away. Some wireless systems will send you regular updates and notifications to your mobile phone.

3.    To improve your security, there is a new technology called ‘Lifeshield’. It prevents deliberate power cuts, or deliberate tampering with your phone service, as these are sometimes associated with a burglary. It also has a self-defense mechanism which allows the system to run even if the main device is destroyed.

Different systems can provide you security to different extent. Some of the things to keep in mind while going for a security plan are the cost factors involved, ease of install, speed of response, audio or video surveillance, and the overall effectiveness of the system.
