VIVOTEK Launches Its First Pan/Tilt Mini Fixed Dome Camera, the PD8136

VIVOTEK has announced availability of the PD8136, a remarkably compact fixed dome camera that packs the ability to record megapixel-resolution video as well as pan and tilt controls into its diminutive form. VIVOTEK's first pan/tilt-capable mini fixed dome camera, the PD8136 with its small footprint can accommodate most installation locations, and is an ideal choice for indoor surveillance applications such as retail store, office, and home security, especially where space is limited.

The PD8136 delivers 1280 x 800 video from its one-megapixel sensor at 30 frames per second, for fluid and crisply detailed surveillance footage. The flexibility provided by the camera's 360-degree pan and 80-degree tilt gives users comprehensive control over monitoring, with more complete coverage and easy adjustments to the field of view.

In addition, the PD8136 supports industry-standard H.264 compression technology, conserving network bandwidth while maintaining video quality. Like all VIVOTEK cameras, it integrates Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) for ease of installation and cost savings. Bundled 32-channel recording software with multiple-language support makes it simple to set up a powerful yet easily managed IP-based surveillance system. In addition, VIVOTEK also provides an iViewer App, which allows users to view live streaming video through hand-held devices at anytime, anywhere.
VIVOTEK Director of Brand Business, William Ku, stated, "Because of its extremely small form factor, PD8136 will really appeal to users who wish to install a surveillance camera in tight spaces. That compactness plus the extra effort we put in to give the camera some tasteful styling will be great for sites that need a camera with a more discreet presence."
