VIVOTEK Launches Its First 5-Megapixel Bullet Camera, the IP8372

Taipei, Taiwan – VIVOTEK has introduced a new high-end bullet camera designed for demanding surveillance applications. The IP8372 provides high-definition five-megapixel video, as well as long-range infrared illuminators, a flexible Smart Focus System, and IP67-rated housing.

The IP8372 uses an advanced optical sensor to deliver five-megapixel video or 1080p Full HD resolution with superb image quality. With its exceptionally clear, crisply detailed and fluidly rendered video, the IP8372 is well suited for even the most demanding surveillance tasks, such as the reliable identification of individuals and license plate numbers. To ensure that the quality of its video footage is maintained even under low-light conditions and for regions of interest not in the immediate vicinity of the camera, the IP8372 includes a powerful infrared illuminator with a range of up to 30 meters.

Designed to meet the special challenges of outdoor surveillance, the IP8372 features an IP67-rated enclosure that protects the camera's internals from adverse conditions, including heavy rain, as well as any ingress of dust or other debris. The Smart Focus System also enables easy installation and adjustment, by incorporating a lens with a built-in stepper motor, allowing users to remotely control focal length and fine-tune focus.

Director of Brand Business at VIVOTEK, William Ku, noted, "The video quality from the IP8372 is just incredible, and we've built in many supporting features like the long-range IR illuminator and Smart Focus System so that users can really take advantage of its capabilities. For security applications with stringent requirements, this camera is really an ideal choice."
